2. NO STONE UNTURNED – Watercolour

John Lovett

BOOKED OUT. Please contact the office to be placed on a waiting list.

In this workshop we are not only going to look at various painting methods and techniques, but also investigate the process of exploring and expanding on a theme. We will select a subject or theme, then, through sketches, thumbnails and small watercolours, work our way towards finishing at least one major, full sheet work. I will supply a variety of different subject packages, students will choose a package then explore all possibilities, starting with sketches, small works using different techniques, then moving on to larger paintings based on the experience gained and approaches explored. I will be advising, assisting and demonstrating techniques and approaches as required. Not only will we be learning new techniques, we will also discover ways to manipulate, edit, rearrange and expand on a subject. By creating a series of paintings we will go way beyond what can be achieved with a single work. We will work hard and have a lot of fun. This workshop requires a basic knowledge and proficiency with watercolour and is suitable for intermediate to advanced students, 18 years and over.
